Anxiety can be a crippling condition haunted by self-doubt, criticism, and worry. It can feel like you’re trapped inside your mind-even if the rest of you is striving to connect with people and perform at a different level. No matter how hard you try to silence that inner critic, the cycle of painful thoughts and emotions continue.
Anxiety does not just go away—in fact, it often gets worse if it’s not addressed. It’s the most common concern in our country and it’s not going away anytime soon. Our children still develop at the same rate, although our expectations in school, sports, and life are all significantly higher. When we feel like we fall short of these expectations, our mind undoubtedly believes that we must not be good enough.
