Advanced Physical Skill + Mental Training
The ability to move past mistakes, play in the moment, maintain high confidence through adversity, and stay composed, are some of the most important mental skills that athletes can develop to help them play at their best. These skills can be taught and built upon to develop a strong mental mindset from a young age.
The same way that athletes train their muscle memory and physical skill level through habits, repetition, and practice—it is equally important that they practice and apply these mental skills to their trainings. Over the years of working with athletes and teams on their mental game, one of the most important predictors of success that we see is how well they apply the mental skills to create the habit.
That’s where Focus Clinics were created. The Focus Clinic combines advanced level physical skill training with mental skill training in order to help teach the athletes in the moment and help them learn to apply the mental skills to their training. The first Focus Clinic is being offered in November of this year for Basketball.
