LINDSAY POORE, LIMHP

Lindsay started her professional career in pediatric nursing as a licensed practical nurse. It is here she developed a love for working with children, parents and the overall family system. A large part of her counseling career has been devoted to treating trauma in young children and their families as well as treating substance usage at an outpatient community mental health clinic.

Lindsay has since expanded her clinical expertise to better understanding best practices in the treatment of ADHD, integrative mental health practices, educating families in understanding the brain and executive functioning so that we can learn to work with our brain in a strengths-based approach. She is passionate about coaching parents through meltdowns, emotional dysregulation, understanding ADHD, and deepening their connection with their children. Over the last 11 years, it is this work, that has shaped her belief that we do not exist alone, but rather, we exist within connection to one another.  Lindsay has training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Circle of Security-Parenting (COS-P), Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT).
